Microsoft 365 A3 Licensing for UCLA School of Engineering

The UCLA School of Engineering purchases Microsoft 365 A3 licenses for all full-time and part-time administrative staff, as well as full-time and part-time faculty within the school. The license term typically starts on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year.

Licensing for Research Lab and Research Center Staff:
Research lab and research center staff need to purchase licenses for their departments through Software Central. Follow these steps to order:

Steps for Purchasing Software:
  1. Log into Software Central using your UCLA Logon and Password.
  2. Once logged in, located Microsoft under the various software vendors.
  3. Click on Microsoft, then select Faculty and Staff Licenses.
  4. Locate Microsoft 365 A3 Unified Edu Sub Per User*, currently listed as $48.62 per license.
  5. Completely fill in your department information, ensuring the following details are included:
    1. Project Code: MCCA/CASA
    2. License Period: Next year's license period
  6. Click Order Now.
  7. You may also want to list Engineering as a reference in the Additional Information section

Subscription to M365:

To obtain a subscription to M365, follow the steps above and notify SEASnet of the purchase. We will then coordinate with Campus Enterprise Messaging (EM) support to assign the subscription. Please note that each license is assigned to a specific user, so all users within a group must be licensed to use the software.
