Granting Others Access to Bruin Learn Course sites
It is UCOP policy that all course materials are owned by Instructor and as such, they are their intellectual property, the material cannot be shared without permission. Procedure to obtain the material is as follows: Teachers and Grad Students
We can grant access to any course for any faculty member or grad student. However, to grant anyone access to another professor’s course material, we need the following:
- The UID of the faculty member who’s requesting access
- Permission from the Instructor of Record OR the Department’s Dean or Chair
- The duration of the access (we cannot grant indefinite access).
- FOR GRAD STUDENTS: The reason why they need access
Please note that anyone who are requesting access to a course not their own will be granted Editor access at the most. They will not be granted access to the Gradebook
Students
Students are not granted access to past courses unless completing an incomplete, which we enroll them using the Incomplete Course Procedure.
