Import/Copy Previous Course Content into a different course

Import/Copy Previous Course Content into a different course

  1. Go to the new site's home page
  2. There should be an option that says "Import existing content"
  3. Under the "Content Type", select "Copy a Canvas Course"
  4. Under "Search for a course", type in the course shortname (24F-SUBJ-###-SEC)
  5. Select if you want to import the entire course content or part of it ("Select specific content")
  6. You have the option here to shift the due dates in bulk
If you select specific content:
  1. At the top of the list, on the right, there should be a button that says "Select content"
  2. Check off what portions of the course you want imported
  3. Allow the content to import
Finally, make sure you review your course content in your new course as often importing course content causes duplicates or specific incorrect availability/due dates
